I can't rebut your rant as I feel the same way more then I should. My existence in society goes widely unnoticed. If I have no reason to communicate by phone primarily it never happens. However at work I have no choice but to make calls when I need instant answers. E-mail only draws out the process I have found because it gives the recipient too much time to stu over the answer. Calling in person forces an immediate response. I find that people are widely more honest when confronted face to face or voice to voice. It all goes back to human nature. We tend to hide behind texting and e-mail so our true feelings may not be seen. On flip side have cleared the air a few times via e-mail and it seemed to help not having the person present. That's my rant to your rant take it or leave it.

I studied theology for years and am only now, many years later, learning how to practice my faith. It has been my experience that End times and eschatology discussions tends to create this righteously superior attitude in myself - like a religious social darwinism that sees Christians as the dominant species and the rest of the world is immmaterial to the great pie in the sky hereafter, as Jason so accurately nailed the phrase "it's all gonna burn anyway".

Christ in me is to live - and that means now, in the present moment. God is sovereign and I will let him take care of the beginning of the end - HEAVEN. Except for the grace of God saving my soul and taking my place on the cross - I could be one of those dead Iraqi civilians, I could be the homeless guy out on the highway onramp near my office.

Fear not, brother Will. This Christian may be in the evangelical stream, and attending a Baptist seminary, but a teetotaler he ain't. If it's enough to cut the nasty consistency, it may be worth the attempt for some nice spiced rum or some such potion of goodness.

I'll probably still stick to mocha latte's, though. 8-)

OK don't hate me for this, but the phlemmy consistency is improved by the addition of alcohol.
If it is not enough alcohol consumed will get one past the phlemm. I will now get behind thee as these were the thoughts not of God. Ecept maybe if you were out caroling and it was really cold and your name is Tim and you have stomach problems.
